Joseph Randolph Bowers PhD, AKA 'Jorandi' or 'Kisiku' - or just Jo - honours their Mi’kmaq, French, and Irish heritage in a body of work spanning paintings and ceramics. Inspired by ancient Mi’kmaq rock art and Celtic themes, their art blends contemporary expressionism with impressionist and abstract styles. Through expressive brushwork and rich textures, their pieces explore the mysticism of nature and family, embodying sacred stories and narrative healing. Working in oils, acrylics, and mixed media on canvas and wood, as well as fine art ceramics, each piece is an exploration of human connection and spiritual awakening.
